i think they´re doing what they can to solve those kind of problems
i for myself now on my 4th 360 (i still have a year warranty left) and they almost "survived" a year each.
about 20 people i know (out of...maybe hundred!?) had it more than once (and even that percentage is too much if you ask me)
but since almost a half year its gotten pretty quiet...whatever that means.

i just hope that those devs atleast use the updated unreal engine 3 with the improved lightning (i think its called "unreal lightmass")
but...yeah...i´m also getting sick of seeing those much games who use UE3.
there are games where i could tell you right away if it´s using UE3 or not... and that alone proves that they´re overusing it TOO much.
if it fits the styl...

so now might be the time for me to finally buy a PS3 (though GT5 is still not released :( ;-))
if you want "the whole" multimedia package there´s no way around the PS3 and time has proven that there ARE great xclusive games on that plattform (Motorstorm 1&2, MGS4, Killzone 2, Uncharted 1&2, InFamous...just to name a few)
and the future is looking bright for sony.
so...if you´re a real gamer.. NOW is the time to get one!!!
but the thing is...
HDMI "IS" the best choice if you have a HD TV
i know....the VGA and the Component cable also let you choose 1080p....but i saw it with my own eyes! HDMI is the only thing you want if you got a proper Full HD display!
component has somehow richer colours, and VGA is a little bit sharper....but HDMI pwns both!
yeah....for the people who know "that" its easy....but like i said: there are people who don't know all about that stuff!!! and they´re getting more confused now.

...since you ONLY get the audio adapter if you buy the original HDMI cable!!! *shakes head* otherwise you would get NO audio!!! because M$ choose those older HDMI standard (and "that" alone is making me insane)

the cable costs about 35$ ....so we´re almost at the 350$ what the el...
...and....yeah... it does somehow look familiar... BUT thats because it also uses normal mapping a lot ( like ue3 ... which does have some similiarities too...i think) and of course the extensive use of bloom (but not THAT extensive like in GEoW if you ask me ...and sometimes Fallout 3 ;-) )
plus RAGE somehow uses HDR right...in my eyes
and has a good plastiq (not plastic ;-)) and clean look (animations look fluid) and it fits the style they´re trying to reach...

this looks as close to the real thing as you could probably get!!!
i said it once and i will say it again:
The detail in the taillights is stunning (thats where the most games fail)
sure...some pictures are pretty small (and in some pics they switched the positions...upper one real life and the bottom GT5... vice versa)
but even i catched myself sometimes where i could´nt tell the differenc...
im now in the second or third pre-version of the dashboard update...
and so far they´ve added some avatar props (like a guitar, a handy, foot and basketball...and some other things) on top of the other things they´ve mentioned about 100 times ;-)
they finally fixed the marketplace blade lag (it always froze for about 2 seconds) and the games library bug (where it showed the wrong games you´ve last played)
as for the download speed...... i dont kn...
okay...i´ve got to admit...at the end of the day it is a personal preference...
but i think mothership zeta fits well into the fallout universe...and so i see it as a "whole" masterpiece.
of course broken steel was somehow my most anticipated add on ( because of the lvl raise and the story (not)ending ;-) )
but i think if you see it impartial, every add on has something special....and my opinion is that mothership zeta has a good storyline...
i think (to end this GFX discussion):
Forza 2 gameplay: 1280*720 2xAA @ 60 fps (no motion blur or whatsoever)
Forza 2 Replay AND Photomode: 1280*720 4xAA @ 30 fps (motion blur and that camera focus effect...)
as for forza 3... i´m pretty sure it stayed the same...and i thought they sayed that somewhere (which is absolutely ok for me)
the pics look awesome to me (when you keep in mind how FM2 looks and the progress they made)

i know i could be somehow wrong...since forza 2 had sometimes some collision detection flaws (inside of the corners on the NY track...and some more)

1. yeah right...its not a FPS (sorry for that fault) but i think its fair to say it "plays" a lot like one (since im always zooming in when i shoot someone....maybe thats why i got it wrong!?) anyway....
2. it has six MP game modes (CTF, TDM, Siege...) and you´ve got "wrecking crew" which is a up to 4 player splitscreen mode where you just destroy everything on the map (the player with the highest score wins)
then there are the backpacks for ...
if you honestly would write what your experiences so far would´ve been then no one would complain about it (myself included)
but with that nonsene you´re writing (360 since 2004??? WHAT?!?!???...and your comment before) you´re throwing ALL your credibility right out of the window.... sorry m8!
